2004 - 2016 in Kansas City

R.I.P. Pure Gaming Satisfaction

BobCon 2010 DragonThis time next week we hope to see you all having fun playing games at BobCon. During this final week you will probably receive several updates as we try to inform you about as many aspects of the con as possible.

Location, Hours and Admission

BobCon is being held at The Coves again. They are located just off of Barry Road at 8221 N. Overland Drive, Kansas City, MO 64151. Click on the address for the Yahoo! map.

Hopefully, you all have looked over the Event Schedule in order to figure out for what you would like to sign up. The clubhouse doors will open shortly before the first event each day and remain so until the lat event of the day finishes. Our official hours of operation are:

Friday  12:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
Saturday  10:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.
Sunday  10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Admission this year is $5 per day or $10 for the whole weekend. I know there has been some confusion on the price since we were hoping to be able to make admission free, but we think these prices strike a good balance. As always, if you cannot afford the admission price please do not let that stop you from coming. We would rather you be here to enjoy the weekend than to let finances keep you away.

You can check out the About BobCon page for more information.

Food and Drink

Gamers gotta eat. One of the great things about The Coves Clubhouse is the full kitchen (refrigerator, microwave, stove, etc.). This year, we are going potluck style. If you would like to partake, simply bring some food or drink to share. Although this year we will not have Shelby's wonderful chili on hand, there are rumors of some wonderful soup and/or chili that will make an appearance. And the quesadilla maker is a great tool for quicks eats. It is nice not to have to go out a grab food – it takes time away from gaming and costs more.

There will also be several ice coolers for keeping water, soda and other various drinks cold.

Lastly, the participant of The Farmer's Market Cook-Off usually ask the crowd to help judge their delicious dishes. Unfortunately, there isn't enough to feed the entire convention but you may get a chance to taste some great food Saturday night.

Event Registration

Now that Event Registration is live, you may want to take the opportunity to sign up. There are several games that are almost full – don't miss out on getting into one of the games you truly want to play simply because you waited too long. There will be plenty of open gaming available if you don't get into an event, but why wait?
